Heads Up Read the March 18th Post….Again

Posted on April 15th, 2008 in General |

I don’t usually resend a post but maybe its time I did.  On March the 18th I posted a blog all about Spring Exterior Planting for Interiorscapers.  This part of the Business continues to get larger and larger with each year.  May I suggest you read it..again.  Happy Planting.

    Hey Barb,

Spring planting as become a relatively small by enjoyable sector of out business .

It’s a few weeks of being extremely busy, kind of like christmas season but only in may! (we’re up north).

Also there is nothing better than planting containers or beds with annuals. It’s got to be one of the most pleasurable jobs to do.

Selling them can be easy, I suggest offering two options. One basic just fill the pot type stuff, and another more elaborate scheme. Not every customer wants or has the budget for the deluxe package.

Also, the maintenance can be even more profitable than the installation.

As interiorscapers, we put much more thought into design than most landscapers. If you push that angle it will help get your foot in the door.

Also, look this year for customers (or potential customers) that have annuals. Make a list of them for next year.

Be sure to check back in the hot summer months, if you see them not being maintained properly, you may be able to pick up the maintenance this summer and have a sure sale for next season.

    JK
